The View from Here

While in California we stayed in a condominum in Coronado. D's great aunt and uncle own the condo and are very generous to let us stay there. {Thank you, Marvin and Leni!}

It is a beautiful place,

with an amazing view of

the Pacific Ocean

the Hotel Del Coronado (aka "The Del")

and Downtown San Diego, Glorietta Bay and the Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge.

While we were in the condo

we played with toys

(that I rented from Toddler's Travels along with a pack and play, booster seat and double stroller! This is the second time we have rented from them and I highly recommend them if you're going to be in the San Diego area!)

and the mirrors

(yes, L is having a conversation with her reflection)

"cruised" the coffee table

had tea parties

read books

put together puzzles

played in the tent under the table

and made a mess!

It didn't take long for L to start calling this our home (I wish!) and could recognize it when we came to the garage saying, "we're home!" In fact, as we were leaving for the airport, L told someone in the elevator that we were going home and the lady said, "well come back soon!"

Fast forward a few days to this conversation...

L: "Mom we have to go back to Marvin and Leni's house soon."

Me: "Why?"

L: "Because that lady told us to!"
