Rainbow Pancakes, Shamrock Men & More

Here are some of my favorite 'indoor' pictures from last week when we spent several days with my sister's family.  There actually aren't too many indoor pictures because we literally spent all of our time outside.  But, we did a few fun projects inside, too.  Here's the rest of the fun...

I Man being bribed by my sister to 'like her' with fruit snacks which worked but quickly led to this...

 

and how can she resist a face like that?  It's no wonder he made off with more and more fruit snacks!

 

On Friday, my sister made a pile {literally!} of rainbow pancakes so the kids could have a St. Patrick's Day feast for breakfast.  As you'll see they loved it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On our last morning together, we made these wee little shamrock men and took a 'cousins picture' (they're sitting in birth order) much like we did last summer.  It was a really, very fun week(end) with our cousins and L is already asking me when we'll see them again which, no matter what I say, is just not soon enough!

The Great Outdoors

With temperatures in the 70's {did you hear me, 70's!!  In March!!} and 7 kids between the two of us we ended up spending most of out time together in the great outdoors (wouldn't you?).  Where there was plenty of time for...

Oh, and let's not forget about the scavenger hunts

but two scavenger hunts (the other made by A2)!

We had a great time playing (outside) with our cousins last week and these are just a few of my favorite pictures.  More 'indoor' ones coming soon.  And yes, we have been in "Cousin Detox" for the last several days!  You know, the realization that you have only your brother (or sister) to play with (who by the way you had hardly noticed was around while enjoying the company of your 5 cousins for several days), adjusting sleep schedules and routines and playing with our same, old, boring toys.  Sigh!  Fortunately, our weather has been beautiful here, too!

Project Life ~ Week 11

 

(He has a phobia...of car washes.  We're trying to break the fear, one car wash at a time! ;-) )

Spring?!

Yes, my title Spring?! is a question!  Typically the month of March is a WINTER month around here but today it feels a lot like spring (as in all of our snow has melted in less. than. 3. days!).  Of course, I'm skeptical to call it that, but not too skeptical to enjoy it while we can!  After lunch today, the kids and I headed out to enjoy the springy weather!  And enjoy it, we did!

 

I Man picked a golf club to play with,

 

while L opted for gardening tools. 

 

She hoed,

 

and watered,

 

planted

 

and sprinkled dirt.

 

I Man tried to help, but L informed him that a 'golf cart' wasn't a gardening tool.

 

He tried to make off with the watering can,

 

but in the end, she got it back.

 

He went back to his 'golf cart'

 

until L discovered the only 'real puddle' in our backyard

 

and splashed (and splashed!)

 

before I Man came back to splash, too!

 

Here's hoping that this really is SPRING!
