Christmas Can't Be Very Far Away

L has been talking about the 'Christmas Toy' for a while now. Every few days she'll ask me when we get to play with it and to each of her requests I have said, "after Thanksgiving." What do you suppose was one of the first things she asked when we got home from our Thanksgiving travels? You guessed it (didn't you?), "Can we take out the Christmas toy?!"

My reply was, of course, "Yes!"

(the box)

L had to set it up exactly (well, almost exactly) the way they had it on the box...see?

Baby I was really more into taking all of the books and toys off of the shelves than he was in playing with the Christmas toy, which was good for me (one less thing for them to fight over...for this year anyway!)!

Yesterday, for our 'project' we read in Luke 1:26-38 about how the angel told Mary she was going to have a baby named Jesus and then we made an angel craft. When D got home from work I overheard this...

L: "Daddy, Mary's going to have a baby soon!"

D: "Really, what's His name going to be?"

L: "Jesus!!"

Ah yes, Christmas can't be very far away...
