Six Months

This baby.  He's six months old today.  Six months with this sweet boy.  Six months of less sleep, but more joy.  Six months of feeling like my hands are full, but not nearly as full as my heart.  Six months as a family of five.  And just like that we're officially half way through the 'year of the baby.'

LJ continues to sleep and eat about the same with a few bites of baby food mixed in.  He blows raspberries like you wouldn't believe and finally rolls consistently (from front to back).  He loves 'Patty Cake' and 'Peekaboo' and is forever content being held.

This month has also been one of many firsts for LJ.  First time trying baby food (he's now tried quite a few fruits and veggies and has yet to dislike any of them...big surprise!), first time in the highchair, first family vacation, first time swimming, first time using a sippy cup (which is more of a toy, at the moment) and first cold, yuck!

This lip.  It's a signature LJ look.  He does this with his lip when he's bored, tired, making noise, concentrating, doesn't want anymore food...

(we start 'em young 'round here!)

I took the big kids to get their 'school pictures' and the photographer asked if I wanted one with all three.  Yes, please!

We took a family trip to Bemidji.  LJ got to go swimming for the first time.  Once he got used to the temperature, he loved it.  I may have been splashed quite a few times.  Totally worth it!

(there's that lip again)

LJ refused to take his evening (6pm-ish) nap and as a result was much too tired for his bedtime bottle.  Frustrating, and yet...this face!

 Prunes, yum!

 (there's that lip again)

Happy 1/2 Birthday, LJ.  We love you!
