This year, L requested a Frozen birthday party. And since she does have every song and practically every line from the movie memorized, it just made sense. So, with the help of Pinterest and Uncle J a Frozen birthday party was what she got...

L had her own plans for the day, ahem! More on that in a bit...
As you might imagine, ideas for Frozen parties are plenteous but I was going for three things: simple, easy and cheap.
Decorations included:
these simple snowflakes
this Frozen banner (which I printed at a smaller scale to hang in an existing frame)
and store bought Frozen plates, cups, napkins etc.
Party food included:
We Finish Each Other's SANDWICHES (ham and cheese sliders)
Olaf's Noses (carrots)
Sven's Antlers (pretzels)
Snowballs (powdered sugar donuts)
Kristoff's Ice (blue jello jigglers cut in cubes)
What Happens to Frozen Things in Summer (pop, water)
Party Favors included:
and bags of Hershey hugs with this tag - which read, "I just want to give you lots of hugs."
L told me the day before her party, "I get it, Mom. He wants to give them hugs and we are giving them hugs...chocolate hugs!" Ha!
The kids each built a snowman (or two),
and played a few rounds of 'Pin the Nose on Olaf.'
Great Grandpa had never seen Frozen and L tried her best to explain it all to him with the help of one of her books.
Then there were presents (most of which were Frozen themed)
and boxes (how many boys will fit in one box?)
and dress up.
And, of course,
CAKE!
Remember the show that was supposed to be at 2:15? Well, it didn't start until after 3 but it did happen. We were treated to multiple songs by...
Anna
and after a costume change, Elsa made an appearance, too.
L may or may not have signed autographs, too. As both Anna and Elsa.
Drama, drama, drama. :)
Another birthday party, come and gone and today L is 7 years old.
