Our Vacation in 53 Pictures

Believe me when I say that 53 pictures is an accomplishment as I took 1200+ pictures in 8 days (yes, I know, I have a problem, ahem!).  We decided last minute (as in, we bought the tickets two weeks before we left) to join D's parents in Coronado, California for a week. It's a vacation we've taken before and every time we go we have such a great time!  This time was no different and here are just a few 53 of my favorites pictures...

Eleven Months

Here we are already, eleven months...just one month left until he's ONE!  This month was a big one for LJ.  He (finally) started to feed himself, learned how to army crawl, got his first haircut, cut his first tooth, learned to crawl on his hands and knees (he's slow at this and still prefers the army crawl for long distances), cut his second tooth, learned to pull himself to standing, started climbing stairs (or two of them, before I told him 'no,' because I'm just not ready for that yet...), and went on his very first plane ride!  Whew!

He uses both hands to feed himself but seems to do better with his left.

I just love the expression on his face here!

LJ loves to be wherever we are and can often be found under the table or playing with the {large} magnets on the refrigerator (or any number of other things he's not supposed to have/be doing).

His first hair cut!

{Those pictures of his first plane ride have yet to be taken (I'm pre-posting this one just to check it off my list since we'll be gone when LJ actually turns 11 months) but I'll post them eventually.  I promise.}

Currently ~ L

letting her teeth fall out on their own (because it hurts too much to actually pull them)

loving 'how to draw' books and

creating some really awesome pictures because of them

carrying her baby brother around (whether he likes it or not)

asking questions about when she was a baby

taking showers all. by. herself! and

putting her hair up in a towel afterwards, just like mom

writing books, especially chapter books

using hand-quotes, but not always correctly

requesting to grow her hair out, like Rapunzel

looking forward to monthly dates with mom or dad

saving her money for a new dollhouse set (because her babies need an exersaucer to jump in like LJ)

reading billboards and street signs and

making sure we saw them, too
